Letters: Lessons in the Lyrics

To the Editor:

Bob Dylan is one of my heroes, too, so I enjoyed Ben Stein’s quoting him to great effect in “They Told Me He Never Lost Money” (Everybody’s Business, Dec. 28).

As investors, we may have learned everything we need to know in kindergarten, but those of us of a certain age also had a second chance — call it “Everything We Need to Know 2.0” from our generation’s music icons. You may also recall the Grateful Dead line from its anthem “Uncle John’s Band”: “When life looks like easy street there is danger at your door.”

    1. Dear Mark,

I didn't miss on the BBC show about fear just some 1/4 of an hour ago.
The fear factor which was described by an sample English patient, appeared as a psychological factor which however seemed to be a coefficiant.
The show was put together by Prof. Sophie Scott from University College London.
I thought about Your kind proposal of Your lending me a screwdriver, and was happy to hear about it.

Diane Reems also had a Show on earlier, on Omega 3 fatty acids, which I managed to follow on NBC public Radio. The last time, that I could talk to someone who was under the influence, was two weeks ago, Jim Mahoney, from Marlborough University, Mass who "prayed" me some good luck on linguistics ("Pray" is a miscalculation of mine), - he sounded like Ronald McDonald. I once put fart powder in his cup of coffee in Computer Class, which he doesn't know.

Besides my engagement in steering in the Winter - Rowing Team, I sometimes myself have a Cola at the Cafeteria from my University. Great to know that José Maroccinds is the cold water guy across the Atlantic.

5 minutes, and I will go to bed. Early arise makes a men healthy wealthy and wise

      Regards to Your loved ones,

      Simon
